All I can picture is three of these portraits hanging in my hallways of Mason, India and Petra, haha. Click here to see more of their work!

I Did a Thing

On a whim, I got India a sister. Not just a companion I’m calling her sister but ACTUALLY her sister. India and the little one that I’ve named Petra are half sisters and have the same dad, Spartacus (click here for the breeder’s Instagram).

I can’t believe I was so worried about making a mistake getting her a pal, but honestly the only thing that been a pain is starting the potty training process all over again. I feel 10x’s better leaving India at home with Petra, having someone to play and lounge with when I’m not around.

I ordered two Embark kits to make sure they don’t have any genetic defects or bizarre things that might popup down the line. I’m also curious about the colors they carry and if little Petra is indeed a carrier of the ‘fuzzy frenchie’ gene (click here to see how ridiculously cute they are).

A Comeback?

Felt the urge to blog today, more so than most days, obviously.

I have started and restarted so many Blogger and WordPress accounts, but this one, this one actually lasted me a year and I actually had people following it at one point. I even spread rumors on here that Gone with the Wind was going to be remade with Hugh Jackman, haha.

But to be honest, all of my blogging started as a way to passively get a rise out of my family. I would send out of my blog link, wait a few days, and post some shit I knew would drive people wild. I wrote articles about gay sex, discovering the truth about 9/11, and how we needed a president like Barack Obama (I guess all very touchy subjects for Conservatives in 2006/2007). So I’m at it again, maybe not to piss off family members, but to clearly and articulately express my thoughts and opinions on what the hell is going on in our country these days.

Who knows if it’s better to vocalize my opinions like I will try to do more often on here or if having a diary would better satiate that urge. I’ve been pretty good about keeping a diary since the 2016 elections. I use to write one diary every year from ages 12-18 and then re-started at 28 up to now at 30. I found the internet and social media to really take away from what I wanted to write privately or at least took away the desire to write for personal pleasure. I went from having a diary to a Xanga, from Xanga to Myspace and from Myspace to Facebook. But now with social media really sucking these days I’ve found myself writing for personal pleasure again vs. what I thinkĀ  might rake in the likes.

I ALSO need a fucking hobby. Having a blog will allow me to participate in the ‘trending’ conversations or at least allow me to publicly voice my thoughts on particular subjects floating around in my brain.

But since I have last posted on this WordPress (c. 2011) quite a bit has happened, both personally and obviously globally. I studied at the Bauhaus in 2013, graduated from Pratt in 2014, worked for Time Inc. from 2014-2015, managed a restaurant in my hometown of Cooperstown from 2015-2017, moved to LA in 2017 then back to Cooperstown 8 months later where I got my job back as general manager. Since I’m sort of trying to figure out what I want for my life, where I want to be, etc. I think this blog could shed some clarity. Not living in a city sometimes makes me feel trapped and removed from what’s REALLY happening.

But I have to go for now, I feel like I’m rambling.

I leave this with you here on this cold, sunny morning in Cooperstown, NY.
